There is now over 110 Little Book translations. First set the target language and then choose which prophecy you want to proofread and start making changes. It's best to not clear paragraphs totally so that the html tags inside stays preserved. If you clear tags the styling changes and easiest way to get back is undo (Ctrl + Z). The reload button next to the language dropdown reloads the translation from the server and clears all changes. If the language you want to translate is not found in the list, you can just select english and start translating on top of it.
You can adjust font family, font size, and line height. Some languages have additional font option which might work better and you can toggle that option with a checkbox . Then you can change the order of the columns with
or add scrollbars for both columns if preferred.
The slider on the toolbar allows you to change the size of the "paper". You can change the width of the left and right columns by dragging the middle line between them. This might be helpful to better adjust when the translation moves far apart from english because of the different lengths of the words.
You can select the parts you want to change and just write the changes. When correcting the translations, please keep the original styles, headings, indentations, paragraphs and Bible quotes as they are formatted. Although paragraphs and smaller line breaks (shift + enter) can be added, those can easily do also unwanted changes so it's suggested and safer to use only boldand italic
. When doing mistakes you can undo
and then redo
if needed.
In case you need to fix the html code, you can toggle that on and off with button.
You can save either to browser memory (local storage) or to a file. When doing smaller changes, it's quicker to save to browser memory, but when you're done or want to continue another day, then it's better to save to a file.
The translation file can be easily loaded by dropping it into columns or alternatively using the load file button. It's best to change the target language before loading the file, because changing it will always load the translation from the server. If you load a file which filename hasn't been changed after saving, then it should select the correct prophecy in the dropdown list.
